So, Today I removed the bad Starter from the 94 WRX, it is pretty easy if you have the right tools available. All you will need for this Removal/Install is the following:
- Flat Head Screwdriver
- Ratchet w/ extension
- 10, 12 & 14 mm Socket
- 17 mm Combination wrench
Optional
- Lighting Technician/tool biotch
So, first and foremost, REMOVE THE BATTERY TERMINALS!
This will prevent any electrical damage/injury.
Next, Remove the Inter Cooler. Three 12mm bolts, 2 left side 1 right side.
With a flat head, loosen the two clamps in the front and another under the Inter Cooler.
Now that it is out of the way, remove the Starter Terminal Cover.
Use the 12mm socket to take the nut and washer of the Starter Terminal. Just pull the other plug off.
There are two things attaching the starter to the engine, the 14mm bolt on top and a 17mm nut underneath the Starter. you can easily get the top one with a socket, but, the bottom one will require a combo wrench, unless you have a lift. I don't, so, i needed it doing this at home.
Hope this helped. to install just reverse the process, but, you will have to play around with the starter a bit, to get the splines to line up and for it to go in.
Project Scooby
Looking for tips and advice on building up my WRX. My endgame goal is to enter it in car shows, maybe get a small post in a mag. Mostly need advice on engine upgrade and how to do the custom interior for I.C.E. I am not to savvy on using fiberglass and all that molding stuff.

RIP Starter
So my starter went out, left me stranded after watching Transformers 3. Don't know if I should buy a brand new one for a few hundred dollars, or, get a used one. Hopefully I can find something within a week.

New To Subaru
Well, it has been about two years since I bought my Scooby, and now i feel it is time to start upgrading it and maybe show her off. I wanted to do so a long time ago, but, do to me having to move from England to Germany and not finding a lot of people into the tuning scene, along side with some medical expenses, it was hard to get motivated. It also didn't help that everything in Germany seems to be expensive especially when i mention that I own a Subaru.... the mechanics already have dollar signs in their eyes. I am wanting to learn how to fix and upgrade her myself, seeing that I can't afford all the maintenance and parts cost in Germany, and have a hard time finding companies that will ship to an APO address from the US. If anyone out there can help out with even a little info, I would be most grateful.
